So many creatives ask us what makes a winning pitch that we thought it would be helpful to give you a bird's eye view of some of the pitches that come through the CSX.
We're just including pitches that have been shortlisted for various projects. It's difficult to know exactly what works best for everyone but remember the more experienced and relative your previous work is to the current project the more you should cite it as your bonafides. Another key is that when you don't have tons of experience to cite, rough concepts often work in your favor. And no one has won a pitch that hasn't provided scamps and roughs when a client asks for them. We never demand them of you but if the client needs that to make their decision you can bet someone will give it to them and they'll be getting the job rather than you.
Budget size has nothing to do with whether the client will want a complete pitch or not. It always has to do with experience and best communication. And communication includes listening closely to what the client has asked in his brief and answering that need in your pitch. Below are some pitches which did that well. Not all were winners but they all caught the client's attention.
Use these to help you produce the perfect pitch.
